From 22nd November 2012 to 24th February 2013, the Hendrik Christian Andersen Museum, a house-museum situated in the centre of Rome, where the works of the sculptor and painter Andersen are kept, is hosting the exhibition AnderSennoSogno featuring the works of Ontani's less well-known works. Starting from Luigi Ontani's fascination and interest in the works in the museum the exhibition, curated by Luca Lo Pinto, is conceived as a journey to rediscover his work without aspiring to be a retrospective.

LUIGI ONTANI: DIJON, LE DEJEUNER SUR L'ART

LUIGI ONTANI: Mc Kim Medal

On Thursday 26 May the American Academy in Rome will award the 2011 McKim Medal to Luigi Ontani: his remarkable career with throughout Europe and in the United States and Asia, his landmark work in the history of performance art and photography, his mastery of Western and Eastern iconography, history and mythology as well his influence on other artists makes him an ideal recipient of the Academy's McKim Medal.

As part of the Le scatole viventi / The living Boxes project, a project by Andrea Bellini in the Manica Lunga of the Castello di Rivoli, Luigi Ontani presents a solo exhibition formed of a broad range of works that reveal and reconstruct the Italian artist's entire creative process. The exhibition will be hosted at the Kunsthalle in Berne in spring 2012.
