The Albertina Museum in Vienna is devoting a comprehensive solo exhibition to Francesco Clemente. The show, which includes several key pieces from the Albertina’s own holdings, is based around the many important works by Clemente in the recently acquired Jablonka Collection. The presentation pays particular attention to the breadth of Clemente’s artistic vision and his understanding of mythology, with works created in Italy, America, and India, as well as on travels round the world. The exhibition is on view until 13 October 2022.

The Brant Foundation Art Study Center, New York, presents “Francesco Clemente: Works 1978–2018”, a survey of works by the Italian artist. The exhibition brings together a concise but comprehensive selection spanning 40 years of the artist’s work including self-portraits and portraits, works on paper, frescoes, monumental oil and watercolour paintings, and one of the artist’s notable hand painted tents.

Francesco Clemente presents an exhibition of forty-one watercolours inspired by the Nobel Prize winner Derek Walcott'™s poem Omeros. The show, realized in collaboration with Ceretto, is hosted inside the Coro della Maddalena of Alba, in Italy.

The NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale presents Francesco Clemente: Dormiveglia from October 23, 2016 through August 23, 2017. This exhibition includes a series of nine, majestic large-scale works. Painted in New York in 1998, the Dormiveglia series takes its title from the Italian expression connoting the state between sleep and awakening and captures the state in which reality intrudes into the realm of dreams.

In the exhibition venue of Santa Maria della Scala in Siena, Francesco Clemente will present 10 unseen works addressing the themes of “Winter Flowers” and “The Tree of Life”. The show, which will take place during the Palio of Siena, is curated by Max Seidel and Carlotta Castellani.
